SHIELD I™ Terminal End Segment
The SHIELD I Yellow Terminal End Segment is a dedicated end-treatment component for the SHIELD I redirective traffic barrier system. Designed to connect with the orange longitudinal barrier units using galvanised steel joining pins, it forms an essential part of the complete barrier installation.
Two yellow segments form one complete end treatment, with four segments providing treatments at both ends. Available individually for new installations, replacements or additional system requirements.
Yellow terminal end segments for SHIELD I barrier runs
The SHIELD I Yellow Terminal End Segment is purpose-built to form the end treatment of the orange SHIELD I redirective barrier system. It connects directly to the longitudinal barrier units using the system’s galvanised steel joining pins.
Each complete end treatment uses two yellow segments. Units can be ordered for new SHIELD I installations, additional end treatments or replacements within an existing system.

Made specifically for SHIELD I
The yellow terminal segments are designed to connect with SHIELD I orange longitudinal barriers using the system’s interlocking connections and galvanised steel joining pins.
Unlike the orange water-filled barriers, yellow terminal units are installed empty and do not require water filling.
For SHIELD I installations only. Not interchangeable with Aqua Stop, KI or TM products. Terminal positioning and the complete barrier configuration must follow the requirements for the site.

The required end treatments depend on the exposed ends, approaching traffic and site design. Planning a new SHIELD I run or replacing existing units? Contact our team to confirm terminal quantities, connecting pins and delivery requirements.
Quick answers about SHIELD I terminal compatibility, end treatments, connections and system configuration. They are dedicated system components, designed to connect to the orange longitudinal barriers rather than function as standalone traffic barriers. The required configuration depends on the approved installation arrangement and site conditions. For a new installation, the full terminal configuration should be considered when determining quantities. They are not interchangeable with Aqua Stop, KI Series or TM Series delineators. Correct positioning and connection are important parts of the complete barrier installation. The complete installation must follow the relevant system requirements.SHIELD I Yellow Terminal End FAQs
The yellow terminal segments form the end treatment of a SHIELD I redirective traffic barrier run.

No. The yellow terminal segments are designed specifically for the SHIELD I system.
No. Unlike the orange SHIELD I longitudinal barriers, yellow terminal segments are not water-fillable and are installed empty.
They use the SHIELD I interlocking connection system with galvanised steel joining pins.
The MASH TL-1 performance relates to the SHIELD I redirective barrier system in its documented tested configuration, not to an individual yellow terminal segment used on its own.
